1. Start by finding a table that is the right size for your lashes
The most basic thing you need to do is find a table that is the perfect size for your lash table. You want space for your clients to set up comfortably and space for you to work.
Many beauty salons and spas will have tables suitable for this purpose. This way, the building does not need to be bought or rented, only equipped with the right table. You will need to be able to lay your head down comfortably on the table and have enough space to move your arms around freely.
In some cases, a salon owner may decide to buy a customised table from any bed manufacturer so that it can bring customers in and make itself seem more legitimate in terms of services offered.
2. Place a clean towel on the table
Along with the makeup tools and products, a clean towel is necessary to set up a lash table. This will be used to rest your head on during the lash session.
The first step is to put the towel on the table. Place another towel on top of it and shake it so that any excess water comes off of it. Next, take off your clothes and shoes until you are just wearing your underwear or bra. Then, place your feet at one end of the second towel and squat down until you are in a sitting position.
Place all of your makeup equipment on the first towel in front of yourself before picking up the second one to cover yourself up completely. It is important to keep your face as close as possible without touching any other part of your body for this process to work well. You can use a magnifying mirror if needed for more precise application.
3. Next, set up your lash trays. Make sure you have all the supplies you need within reach
Lay out a clean tablecloth or set up a tray in your workspace. You want this surface to be kept clean and clear of any other beauty products for the client’s sake. Next, find a space for all of your tools and supplies that makes sense for you and the workstation you are setting up at. Stock up on the materials you will be using during each lash service – these may include lashes, lash glue, tweezers, mascara tubes, qtips, cotton balls etcetera
